Throughout the weekend, our leadership team teaches student leaders how to effectively network and connect with others through a variety of intentional networking activities. These networking opportunities enable student leaders to network and build relationships with professional experts, employers, and other student leaders at the conference. In addition, student leaders will learn how to create an effective elevator pitch for success.
Our leadership team believes in service and encourages student leaders to engage in service activities by providing them with a project during the conference. The goal behind our service project is for our student leaders to impact the lives of others within the community and develop a deeper understanding about the importance of service, generosity, giving back to others within our community, nation, and world.
We believe that self-awareness and self-reflection are critical aspects of successful growth and development of both emerging and seasoned leaders. Therefore, throughout the conference, each student leader will engage in various leadership assessments with trained student affairs professionals. In addition, they will participate in a variety of reflection exercises that are designed to help them grow and develop a deeper understanding about the content being delivered at the conference. For the past two years, these assessments and reflection exercises have been extremely powerful in the lives of our student leaders!
For the past few years, we have included a CareerFEST event that is focused on providing student leaders with the opportunity to connect, network, build positive relationships, and possibly obtain a job or internship with quality companies and organizations that are interested in recruiting and hiring some of the nation’s top student leaders. In addition to this interactive, engaging, and incredible event, our leadership team also reviews and makes positive corrections to every student leaders resume before the event!
When student leaders make it through our entire leadership conference, not only are they transformed, but are fully prepared to reach higher levels of personal, career, and leadership success. We we like to celebrate each of these student leaders with a special celebration on Sunday. During this exciting, engaging, and fun celebration, student leaders share their stories with each other, engage in an incredible reflection exercise, and listen to a dynamic keynote speaker. In addition, these powerful activities, we also have special musical guest, prizes, giveaways, and other special activities to celebrate the accomplishments of our student leaders.
