Joshua Fredenburg is a National Speaker, Author, Leadership Expert, and President of the Circle of Change Leadership Conference. For the past seven years, Joshua has appeared as a television guest expert on BET, the Wayne Brady Show, the KTLA Morning Show in Los Angeles, the Daily Buzz Morning Show, and many other familiar radio and television programs throughout the country. In addition, he has served as a dynamic keynote speaker in 42 different states for lectures, leadership conferences, retreats and trainings at high schools, colleges, and corporate events.
In addition to his successful speaking and television career, Joshua has published four books, writes a popular monthly newsletter on issues centered around the topics of leadership and career success, mentors and coaches student leaders throughout the country, serves on the Board of Directors for the Lois Swan Leadership Center at California State University, Long Beach, and is pursuing a PhD in Organizational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University.
For the past fifteen years, Ilaria Pesco, has been working in Higher Education and currently serves as the Director Student Leadership and Involvement Center at the University of Redlands. As the Director of Student Leadership and Involvement, Ilaria supervises various areas of Student Affairs including Residence Life, Study Abroad, Student Government, New Student Orientation, Greek Life, Outdoor Programs/Intramurals, Leadership Training and Campus Programming.
Ilaria received her Bachelor of Arts in Government in 1996 and her Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration in 1998 both from the University of Redlands. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Higher Education/Student Affairs from Claremont Graduate University.
Pete has spent his entire career as a non-profit management professional. He has helped community organizations raise nearly $30,000,000 to meet capital, endowment and operational goals. Pete is owner of NPcatalyst, a small non-profit consulting firm, which has impacted hundreds of charitable organizations by providing board development, public awareness, branding, community engagement, and funding solutions. Similar to success he’s found as co-founder of Greek Ladders, his accomplishments all relate to building long-lasting relationships, identifying opportunities, and creating solutions.
Alice Park is a marketer and brand strategist. She is passionate about building strong brands, influence and motivation, and empowering others. She currently works as a District Manager and Independent Consultant with Arbonne International in health and wellness. She has experience working with Fortune 500 companies with a focus on strategic planning, brand development and product marketing in digital advertising and social media. Her career started in the arts with 10 years of combined experience in museums, art galleries, teaching and non-profit development. She made the transition into marketing while earning her MBA from the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California.
At USC she served on the Executive Board for the Marshall Graduate Student Association for Professionals & Managers and led various marketing and philanthropy initiatives impacting the Marshall Community and various local charities in the Los Angeles metro area. She continues to serve her local community as an Orange County Cal Alumni Club Association officer. Alice holds an MA in Art History from UC Riverside, with a specialty in Italian Renaissance Art, and a BA in Art History from UC Berkeley. She grew up in South Orange County and is an avid home chef who enjoys playing tickle monster with her 6-year-old daughter, traveling, watersports and outdoor activities.
Leo Young is originally from the great state of Texas, but is also a proud Californian; currently serving as the Conference Coordinator in University Housing Services at San Jose State University. Leo earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Educational Administration with a concentration in Student Affairs from Texas A&M University. Since graduating with his master’s degree in 2013, Leo has served as an Activities Coordinator for Student Activities at Georgia Southern University; working with student organizations and the University Programming Board. With a developed skillset in student organizations, event planning and risk management, Leo loves advising students and student groups and developing tomorrow’s leaders. In his current role at SJSU, Leo is working to improve the conference housing program to generate more resources for students and simultaneously develop an intentional, curriculum-based experience for conference assistants, as they learn from their summer job how to lead and serve.
Leo aspires to embody servant leadership as he impacts society as a catalyst for positive change. He is a devoted and loving husband to his beautiful wife and an outdoor enthusiast (backpacking, camping, hiking, etc.). Ultimately, Leo dedicates his life to being a faith-centered, values-based person that spreads love, enjoyment, and joy in every realm.
Dr. Tracy Pascua Dea is the Assistant Vice Provost for Student Success and Co-Director of the High Potential First Generation to College Program at Saint Mary’s College of California. Tracy has 16 years progressive experience in corporate and higher education settings specializing in student success, diversity and social justice, career management, and training and development. Tracy has worked with diverse individuals and groups and with internationally recognized programs. Tracy was the Associate Director at Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies working with on-ground and on-line, domestic and international graduate and undergraduate programs. At Saint Louis University, she was the Director of the John Cook School of Business Career Resources Center working with Fortune 500 and non-profit companies and graduate and undergraduate level students. She has also worked at Washington University School of Law, Boston College, Boston University and EMC Corporation. In her career, she has been active in service to the community and with professional organizations. She holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration, a M.A. in Counseling Psychology, and B.A. in Psychology.

Derek Bley is originally from Columbus, Ohio. His dream to play college baseball brought him to South Carolina where he attended Newberry College. Derek then went on to complete his Masters of Business Administration at Barry University in Miami, Florida, where he was also a Graduate Assistant in the Center for Student Involvement. Upon graduating he was offered a full time position on campus as the Coordinator of Leadership Development and Clubs/Organizations. He served in this role for almost two years where he helped establish the De Porres Center for Ethical Leadership and responsible for various leadership development programs.
No longer in Higher Education, Derek currently serves as the Manager of TN Business Solutions in South Florida. However, Derek’s time at Barry University helped him realize his passion and discover his purpose; to serve and add value to others by encouraging to pursue excellence. In addition to the Circle of Change Leadership Conference, Derek is also involved with other conferences including; Leaders for Christ Conference and the Florida Student Leadership Forum on Faith and Values. This will be his second year as a COCLC facilitator and is excited to be a part of this truly transformational weekend.
Michoo Etienne is a first generation college graduate, who received her Master’s degree in Healthcare Management from Davenport University. She received her Undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at the University of South Florida. With aspiration to pursue a career in healthcare administration, she hopes to inspire strong character development and leadership within our healthcare system.
Gerald Johnson II is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University in Miami, Fl. Gerald earned his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences at Florida State University of Spring of 2016. While in his Master’s program, Gerald currently serves as a Graduate Assistant for Student Government Association where works closely with students through leader development, advising, and workshops. As an undergraduate at Florida State University, Gerald served as the Student Body Vice President, Homecoming Chief, President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Chairman of the Black Male Initiative the Vice President’s Office. He attributes his activeness within the community and aware of social issues to his experiences within his leadership organizations. Gerald loves the Circle of Change Leadership Conference because it presents students with the opportunity to learn from prominent keynote speakers, career experts, and to develop as a more holistic leader.
Leanna Mouton currently serves as the Bobcat Pause Director and Programming Director within the Dean of Students & Leadership Institute at Texas State University. She coordinates all Student Foundation responsibilities for planning a Presidential Memorial service where the community comes together to honor the members of our Texas State family that we have lost during the past year. As the Programming Director, she is responsible for coordinating the Retreat/Member Education, Social/Recognition, and Service/Outreach Coordinators for the Student Leadership board. Leanna also serves as Residential Assistant for the Department of Housing & Residential life at Texas State University.
Leanna is currently a sophomore Honors student at Texas State University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Communication and Honors Studies. Her big dream is to Franchise the only theme park in the whole entire world that is accessible to people of all ages with special cognitive and physical needs. That theme park is called “Morgan’s Wonderland” and is in San Antonio, Texas. She would like to franchise it in as many locations as possible to bring experiences to people beyond their wildest imagination that would have never experienced it otherwise. She says that, “If you ever are blessed with the experience to see the joy in a mother’s eyes while she pushes her adult handicap child on a swing for the first time ever, you will understand how underrepresented this community is and how they too deserve happiness.” She is a strong advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and works every day to create a world of acceptance, opportunity, and friendships for this generation and future generations to come.
Outside of her educational pursuits, Leanna invests her time trying new things, working out, volunteering, baking, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones.
Natalie Fajardo currently serves as the Assistant Director for the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at Radford University. In her role, she is responsible for providing leadership development, awareness building and training, programming, and service/leadership opportunities for students. She is also active within NASPA, serving as the marketing coordinator for the New Professionals and Graduate Students Knowledge Community (NPGS). Born and raised in the sunny state of California, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from California State University-San Bernardino. After graduating, she moved to Missouri and received her Master of Science degree from the University of Central Missouri’s College Student Personnel Administration (CSPA) program. Asian identity development and Diversity and Inclusion Excellence are two areas of interest. She attended the first Circle of Change conference!
